Double points finish for Curnow at Croft (15 August 05)

Poor handling again hampered Ross's first qualifying session at Croft, but after qualifying a disappointing 18th for the first race, the team managed to slightly improve the handling for the second qualifying session which moved Ross up to 11th for race two.

In ace one Ross managed to avoid all the accidents on the first lap and with the help of a good start was up to 14th by the end of the first lap. He overtook a few more cars and avoided some other accidents in the middle of the race to be running 8th with 3 laps left, and was catching the 7th placed car but did not have enough laps left and maintained his 8th position.

In race 2, Ross again made a good start from 11th on the grid and again managed to work his way up to 8th position but the cars in front were very spread out meaning he was again not quite able to catch the 7th placed car. After the race Ross commented that, "Despite a disappointing start it was good to get some points out of both races".

The next race takes place at Mondello Park and Ross will be looking to improve the handling of his car which has dogged him for most of the season and once again challenge for the podium. 8th pf a weekend which did not start very well
