Salisbury’s rising star racing driver, Ross Curnow,
has won another prestigious motor sport award.
Sponsorship experts Mango Communications have selected Ross to
receive one of their coveted sponsorship scholarships. A
combination of talent, ambition, commitment and marketability has
been used in a selection process intended to find up to six young
drivers deserving professional training and development.
“Sponsorship is a very complex communications tool
which few people fully understand,” explained Amanda Morris,
Mango’s Principal Account Director. “Finding and managing
sponsorship can be such a nightmare, it can distract promising
young drivers from their racing careers.”
Mango’s scholarships are intended to ease the
sponsorship problem, help young drivers operate effectively in a
sponsorship environment and ensure they and their sponsors enjoy a
mutually beneficial relationship.
“Ross
is clearly a very talented driver,” said Amanda Morris, commenting
on the award. “What has impressed me even more, though, is his
attitude out of the car. He is a very likeable young man and has
such a professional attitude to his racing career that sponsors
can only benefit from supporting him.”
On
hearing of the award, Ross said: “This is great news. We still
have the huge challenge of raising the budget for next year but
this support should help us to ensure that we maximise the benefit
for any sponsor that becomes involved with us.” |
