Ross
Curnow is considering a move into the Seat Cupra Championship next
season, after the ex-Formula BMW Rookie Cup champion admitted his
racing career is at a crossroads.
He
said: “Ideally next season I’d like to stay in single-seaters I’m
looking at F3 and Champ Car Atlantic but it’s tough to get the
budget. I’ve nearly got a full budget for the Seat Cupra
Championship so that’s also an option.
Andy
Priaulx’s recent success in World Touring Cars has inspired Curnow
to investigate a career in saloon car racing. “Andy has proved you
can jump from single-seaters to touring cars and shine,” said
Curnow. “There are a lot more chances in touring cars and Seat is
becoming a really big name in the sport.”
If
Curnow moves into touring cars, he will follow in the footsteps of
his father, Alan, who raced in saloons and touring cars for 25
years.
